As a magazine copy editor, I was responsible for:
- Styling text to fit publication tone, style and voice
- Checking copy for grammatical and stylistic errors, and factual accuracy
- Checking and signing off final proofs
- Construct and cross-reference engaging microcopy for the brand and clients Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and website updates
- Magazine produced to client expectations
- Editing ad-hoc publications and documents as needed
- Brainstorming clever, original titles and cliché-free blurbs
- Attending and contributing to editorial meetings (planning ahead for new feature ideas)Working closely with the relevant design teams to ensure an error-free magazine goes to print
